How to Password Protect a PDF on Android (Free)

A report, a contract, or a scan with personal details should not be floating around readable by anyone who receives it. Locking a PDF with a password is the simplest way to keep it safe. Android has no built-in option for this, and many Play Store apps only unlock the feature in a paid tier.
