The print-dialog trick is worth knowing: open the PDF in Chrome, press Ctrl + P, confirm the destination is “Save as PDF”, enter the page range you want in the Pages field, and click Save. It extracts that range cleanly, but you repeat the whole process for every additional range.

- Verify the first and last pages are complete and not cut off
- Keep file names in order when you split into many files
- Clear out the ZIP from Downloads once you have unzipped what you need
